Our commitments around privacy, safe use of the platform, and the terms that govern it.
When you post an opportunity, we collect your name, contact email, and the details of the opportunity. Your contact email is kept private and is never shown publicly — it is only used to send you one-time verification codes to confirm, edit, or remove your listing.
When you register interest or request information about an opportunity, we collect your name, email, and any message you provide, and share it only with the person who posted that opportunity.
We collect basic, anonymized visitor analytics (such as page views and referrers) to understand site usage. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.
Questions about your data? Contact us at contact@theneighbourhoodproject.ca.
By posting an opportunity, you confirm the information is accurate, legal, and appropriate for a community audience. Only the verified email address associated with an opportunity may edit or remove it.
You agree not to post misleading, harmful, fraudulent, or discriminatory content. The Neighbourhood Project reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms.
The Neighbourhood Project is a platform connecting volunteers and opportunity organizers; we do not vet, supervise, or guarantee the outcome of any opportunity listed.
Meet in public places when possible, and use your best judgment when registering for an opportunity or sharing personal information. Verify details directly with the organizer before attending.
If you encounter a listing that seems unsafe or fraudulent, please report it to contact@theneighbourhoodproject.ca.
